Early diagnosis is necessary to avoid permanent disability in people suffering from psoriasis but sometimes the arthritis developed before the patient have time to find psoriatic plaques on his body.
It is recommended to people suffering from psoriasis to contact their doctor as soon as they begin experiencing stiffness and pain.
Not only does psoriatic arthritis causes permanent disability it causes a loss of self-esteem for people suffering from it and can become a source of stress.
